1. Programme title and objectives
The FBZ programme title is: Study Programme in Security and Criminalistics.
The purpose of the programme is to educate professionals qualified to work across diverse security sectors, including public, private and civil protection. The programme focuses on acquiring the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for risk prevention, protection of people, property and the environment, and for effective response to emergencies. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of analytical and operational capabilities, knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks, and the application of contemporary security methods, thereby meeting the needs of modern society and the labour market.
2. Study cycles and learning outcomes The Study Programme is delivered in two cycles:
· First‑cycle studies (Bachelor)
· Second‑cycle studies (Master)
Learning outcomes for the first‑cycle specialisations include the ability to:
· Understand and apply core theoretical concepts in security, criminalistics, and private and civil protection;
· Identify, analyse and assess risks and security threats in diverse environments;
· Apply prevention, protection and emergency response methods;
· Interpret and apply normative and legal acts relevant to security and protection;
· Cooperate with national and international security system institutions;
· Utilise information and communication technologies in security practice;
· Participate, individually or as a team member, in the planning and implementation of security and protection measures;
· Demonstrate professional responsibility, ethical conduct and decision‑making capacity in crisis situations;
· Pursue further academic study or professional development.

The Faculty of Security and Protection awards the following academic degrees:

Graduate Bachelor of Law in Security and Criminalistics — 240 ECTS
Graduate Bachelor of Law in Security and Criminalistics — 180 ECTS
Graduate Manager in Civil Protection — 180 ECTS
Graduate Manager in Civil Protection — 240 ECTS
Graduate Manager in Private Security — 180 ECTS
Second‑cycle programmes:
Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Security and Criminalistics — total 300 ECTS total (cumulative)
